Solo Whist
Group Leader - John Zumbeel - 400300
Location - Lake

I have played this whist based card game for a number of years
now and some of my friends have described it as a great way to spend
an autumn afternoon. If you know the basics of whist (or even if
you don't) you will find this an easy game to learn or adapt to.
The entire pack of cards is dealt out to the four players around
the table and then each player can in turn make one bid based on
the contents of their hand. The ranking order of calls ranges from
Solo (5 tricks to make) through Mizere (lose all the tricks) Abundance
(9 tricks to make) to Abundance Declared (make all 13 tricks).
The winning bidder then plays against the other three.
This group will meet on the first Sunday of the month, commencing
September 5th at 2 pm. There will be a break for tea and biscuits
at half time.
Interested, or would like more information then please contact
me, John Zumbeel, on 400300.
